Who, What, Why?
Who we are:
Strange Co is a student run SoA+AH+D Division of Art tradition since 2002. Strange Coupling brings together the UW and the greater Seattle art community by pairing students with professional artists for a collaborative project.
What our goals are:
- Build stronger networks
- Provide a space unique collaborations
- Encourage experimentation
How Long:
Couples are given approximately 2 months to work on a collaborative piece of their choice. These are exhibited in a culminating show in late May/ early June 2020 (TBD).
2020 Theme: “Memory”
(To be understood very broadly). We are excited by what a collision of ideas and experiences of memory, place, and time might produce between two artists.
Who can Apply:
All UW students. Any major. Any class standing. Any form of art.
